Booked online really last minute, immediately got tickets via email and booking confirmation, and could pay via card (and Apple Pay) which was really handy as we didn’t have much cash to pay there. Was dreading a long 2 hour boat trip but it was amazing! Had music drinks and sat in the sun for the whole trip, would definitely book again!
Dear Emma, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are really happy to hear you had a good experience booking with us. We hope to see you again in the near future. Thank you. Best regards, Kadek from Bali Ferries.
The boat trip itself was class.. we had a few beers and the lads operating were great. However the prices we paid on this site were much higher than people were being charged at the actual harbour. We got ripped off here.
Hi David, Thank you for leaving a review. Great to hear you had a good time during your trip. We are very sorry to hear that you think you have been overcharged... We are not sure who you spoke to or how much the other 'people' paid but our prices are directly from D'Prabu fast boat. I hope you don't mind, but we have actually forwarded your feedback to the operator in question and they have confirmed that they charge the same prices at the harbor as they do online, and on top of that you will receive your tickets directly in your email and your seat will be reserved instantly. Thank you. Best regards, Kadek.
We booked tickets the night before departure the next morning. All went smoothly. Also, the check-in was pretty straightforward. Not a high-class operator but pretty good value for the money we paid. Can't really think of anything negative... thanks.
Hi Anika, thank you so much for your kind words. We are really happy to hear you had a good experience. We hope to welcome you again in the near future.
We are not happy with the ferry experience from padang bai to nusa penida. The ferry was late and the people have not shared enough information about it. Some people was joking like ‘it will come at 5 o’clock’ (the ferry was at 14:30) It was late about 30 mins. When the ferry arrived there were no organisation. Everything was mess. People were leaving the boat are trying to find their luggages. Crazy people was asking everywhere if tourists need a taxi. Another group of people trying to enter to the boat. No organisation, no plan… The harbor (the place for waiting the ferries) was a terrible place. Everybody was asking ‘taxi, do you need a taxi??’ At least 20 times this same question is asked to me. It was really really disturbing. Sometimes same man asked the same question twice even we screamed as ‘NO!’. This is nonsense! If somebody needs a taxi they search and find for it. Why those people are disturbing the tourists like crazy??! I hated this place. Everywhere was full of trash. Those people are using the beaches and ocean for trash can. It was sad to see. Overall it was a terrible experience.
Hi Gonca, thank you for your review. We are very sorry to hear about your not-so-good experience with D'Prabu, we hope in the near future there will be more boats operating this route that offer a more organized experience, however, what we do like to mention is that the people at the harbor offering transport services are not in any way related to D'Prabu fast boat or to us... these are freelance drivers offering transportation services to provide for their family. The best is to just ignore them and go your own way. Thank you.
