Your first encounter with Nusa Penida island will most likely be at Toyapakeh harbor because it is the arrival port for the majority of speed boat operators departing from Bali. Between the port and the large jetty where the ferryboats dock, the fast boats frequently arrive (called Banjar Nyuh). Long lines of trucks can be seen waiting for the ferryboat to arrive on this jetty. This is where all building materials for Nusa Penida's construction projects arrive.
